- Changes in communication procedures (including deletion of accounts, etc.) might trigger the attention of the authorities.

In all situations where a person has been detained, the first thing to note is that often when such incidents occur, several friends or colleagues react at once, resulting in either duplicated or contradictory efforts. So it is important to remember that coordination and concerted action, at the local and international level, are necessary both to support the detainee and take care of everybody else within their support networks, family and friends.
